Some begin with a forked branch, gently gathered from
living
tree,
blown down limb, or
sometimes gleaned from windswept beach.
Leather is carefully cut to the shape of the wood so the
finished bag
will fit the crook perfectly. Others come to form as leather is
folded and cut with the grain. A sturdy handle is
attached with carved deer or
elk antler rings. The
soft leather
is left exposed inside the bag, providing a perfect home
for your elvin treasures.
